USPHL Premier 2023-24 South Region Players Of The Week

Week of Nov. 22, 2023

Games of Nov. 14-20, 2023

Summaries by Joshua Boyd /

Southeast Division

Forward: Siamion Marshchanok, Potomac Patriots

If you thought he couldn’t possibly keep up this pace week after week, bow your head in shame. Marshchanok (‘05/Minsk, Belarus) may have just been getting warmed up these first couple months of the season. The leading scorer in the league for a team that still not lost in 60 minutes (20-0-2-0), Marshchanok posted four goals and eight assists for 12 points in a two-game sweep of the Columbia Infantry. In terms of points per game, Marshchanok’s 3.32 average for this season is fourth all-time in Premier history.

Forward: Zach Nicholls, Charlotte Rush

Nicholls’ GWG in the second period of the Rush’s outdoor game win against Carolina on Nov. 18 was also his 100th career point, coming in his 102nd career game. The ‘03 from Chestermere, Alb., also had an assist earlier in that victory. He’s on a 4-7-11 scoring streak over his last eight games and his 26 points in 20 games give him more than a 1.00 point per game average for the second straight season.

Defense: Aidan Moreau, Potomac Patriots

Another third-year Premier veteran like Nicholls, Moreau (‘03/Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) registered a goal and an assist in Game 1 of their series vs. Columbia and added two assists in the second game. He was a +4 on the weekend and has improved to 14 points in 21 games this year.

Florida Division

Forward: Grant Parshall, Tampa Bay Juniors

Continuing the theme of third-year USPHL Premier players, Parshall (‘03/Wheeling, W.V.) led the way in the division with six points (1-5-6) over the Juniors’ 2-1 weekend against the host Atlanta MadHatters. Parshall, who also played nine games with the NCDC’s Utah Outliers this year, was 52-for-77 on faceoffs for a 68 percent success rate, and his 19:47 of ice time led the way. Defensively, he was also +6 over the course of the series.

Defense: Eoin Reager, Atlanta MadHatters

Chalk up another third-year USPHL Premier veteran, Reager (‘03/Foxboro, Mass.) scored both goals in the MadHatters’ 4-2 win over Tampa Bay. The first was the tying goal and his second goal was the insurance marker. Over the three-game series, he also led the MadHatters in ice time with 31:27 and also led the way with a +3. The former Elite All-Star stands with 17 points in 21 games this year.

Goaltender: Savva Serdiuk, Tampa Bay Juniors

And we’ll close with our fifth third-year Premier veteran, the ‘04 from Kyiv, Ukraine, who put together a massive weekend against the Tampa Bay Juniors. He put up 79 saves on 83 shots, which includes a 40-save shutout in his Nov. 17 win. For the season so far, Serdiuk is 5-5-0-0 and he has a 17-11-2-1 career mark.
