THE LEAGUE
Founded in 2012, the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) is comprised of over 150 teams, fielding more than 20,000 players aged 8-21 in more than 100 organizations across the North, South, Midwest, West, and Canada.
Our Junior Divisions consist of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC), a tuition-free, Tier 2 Junior hockey division and our Premier & Elite Conferences, all geared toward college and pro placement. Our youth and midget divisions (operated through the Tier 1 Hockey Federation) field full season 9U thru 18U teams.
The USPHL has sent over 8,000 players to all levels of college hockey including over 3,400 into NCAA college hockey and over 300 players into NCAA Division I hockey. The USPHL has also had 18 players who played in the NCDC drafted by NHL teams.
THE STRUCTURE
The USPHL is uniquely positioned to facilitate a clear path way for players graduating from Bantam who are looking to progress through Midget and Junior Hockey on to college and professional hockey. Each division provides a critical step in the progression to fulfilling a player’s ultimate goal of becoming a collegiate or professional hockey player.
Teams have been selected to participate in specific USPHL divisions based upon geography, strong player pools, rink ownership, financial strength and history of success and integrity at the highest level.
THE MISSION
The ultimate goal of the USPHL is to prepare and develop players for college hockey (and beyond) through a tiered development program.
Unlike any other league in North America, within the USPHL it is possible for a player to advance through an organization starting at mites and ending in junior hockey.
THE RESULTS
The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), which operates in 24 of the 50 United States, is the Nation’s largest amateur ice hockey league. The league is comprised of more than 600 teams. Players in the USPHL are 6 to 21 years of age.
The USPHL saw more than 2,900 USPHL Alumni compete in college hockey at all levels of the NCAA, ACHA, and AAU during the 2023-24 season. This brings the league's all-time alumni to have skated in college hockey to more than 8,000 all time!
