USPHL Premier 2023-24 Midwest Region Players Of The Week: Las Vegas Showcase

Forward: Royal St-Cyr, Metro Jets Development Program

St-Cyr (‘03/Montreal, Que.) posted a pair of goals and dished out six assists for eight points in MJDP’s four games, all wins, at the USPHL Las Vegas Showcase. His best performance was posting a 1-2-3 line in a 4-2 win over the Casper Roughnecks. He currently has 34 points in 25 games. Prior to playing for MJDP, he played with Le Sommet Academy, currently an affiliate member of the USPHL Elite Conference. 

 

Defense: Jake Taylor, Metro Jets Development Program

Taylor (‘05/Macomb, Mich.) is a local product who has been outstanding for the MJDP since first joining last season out of the Belle Tire AAA program. He registered two goals and added four assists for six points in Las Vegas, while co-leading the team with a +10. He also registered two hits and two blocked shots for the week’s work. He has 22 points in 24 games. 

 

Goaltender: Jordan Nicolucci, Isanti Outlaws

Nicolucci (‘04/Montreal, Que.) put up a 1-1-0-0 record in Las Vegas while stopping 45 of the 49 shots he faced. Part of his success in putting up a .918 save percentage out west was a 15-save shutout. Nicolucci has had his best success in December, going 2-1.
