Forward: Tyler Zembrzycki, Springfield Pics
At the BJB Shootout, Zembrzycki (‘03/East Islip, N.Y.) was on fire for the Pics, who went 2-2 at the showcase. He put up points in every game, scoring 2-2-4 in the opener against Buffalo en route to a total of 5-5-10 in his first four games of the season.
Defense: Joey Demiglio, Utica Jr. Comets
Third-year junior veteran Demiglio (‘03/Niles, Ill.) put up three goals and two assists at the BJB Shootout, including a 2-1-3 line and the game-winner in their second consecutive game against the Pics on Monday.
Goaltender: Marcus Gomes, College Universel Gatineau
Gomes (‘05/Beaconsfield, Que.) stopped 35 of 36 shots for a win against the Jersey Hitmen on Oct. 1, one day after stopping all 11 he faced. The first-year Premier team Universel went 2-2 at the BJB Shootout.
Atlantic Division
Forward: Peter Labos, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders
Labos (‘04/Plainview, Ill.) registered three goals and two assists for five points in the Jr. Islanders’ 3-1 performance at the BJB Shootout. The former P.A.L. 18U player has 10 points through his first seven games as the Jr. Islanders started out 4-2-0-0.
Defense: Hunter Scanlon, Connecticut Jr. Rangers
Scanlon (‘03/Rockford, Ill.) was huge for his new team at the BJB Shootout, clocking in with three goals and three assists for six points, as the Rangers went 3-1 to kick off their season. For Scanlon’s career, he has 110 points in 85 Premier regular season games.
Goaltender: Marc-Antoine Nadeau, Hershey Cubs
Nadeau (‘03/Repentigny, Que.) had a huge first weekend in his second season in Hershey, going 2-0 with 91 saves on 94 shots, including a 44-save beauty in the 1-0 opening victory. He currently has a 1.50 GAA and .968 save percentage.
