USPHL Premier Players Of The Week: West Region

Week of Sept. 29, 2022

 

Pacific Division

Forward: Narek Aleksanyan, Las Vegas Thunderbirds

The ’02 forward is back for his second year in the USPHL and is already off to a hot start. Aleksanyan (East Angus, Que.) picked up six goals and six assists for a total of 12 points in just three games.

 

Defense: Nick Bonaldi, Las Vegas Thunderbirds

Back for his fourth season with the T-Birds, Bonaldi (‘03/Las Vegas, Nev.) has earned himself eight points off of eight assists. 

 

Goalie: Ethan Blackburn, San Diego Sabers

Finishing up his first two games of the season, Blackburn (‘02/Boulder, Col.) has a save percentage of 0.984. On Sept. 23, he had a 35-save shutout against the Bakersfield Roughnecks, and then came back with stopping 27 of 28 in his second start. 

 

Northwest Division

Jorie Boyd, Rock Springs Prospectors

A 2002-born native of Rock Springs, Wyoming, the hometown product registered a team-leading four goals and three assists for seven points in the Prospectors’ first three games ever. He also has both game-winners so far for Rock Springs. 

 

Peter Konopka, Seattle Totems 

Konopka (‘03/Kalispell, Mont.) currently stands as one of the Totems’ top scorers. He scored the Totems’ first-ever USPHL overtime goal in a Saturday 3-2 victory over the Prospectors. A longtime NAPHL midget veteran, he’s made a great impact as a junior rookie here in the USPHL Premier. 

 

Nathan Proulx, Rock Springs Prospectors 

Proulx (‘03/Quesnel, B.C.) made a fantastic USPHL debut by stopping 57 of 61 shots on goal in a 6-4 inaugural game victory on the road against the Bellingham Blazers.
