USPHL Premier Players Of The Week: South Region

Premier 

Forward: Matt Mongeau, Florida Jr. Blades

Mongeau (‘04/Windsor, Ont.) put together his best three-game stretch of the year, posting four goals and four assists for eight points as the Jr. Blades went 2-1 against the Atlanta MadHatters in a road trip. Overall, Mongeau now has the team scoring lead with a 9-19-28 line in 18 games. 

 

Defense: Brayden Goddard, Florida Eels

A second-year Premier blueliner, Goddard led the Eels defensemen in time on ice (40:07) and tied for the team lead in plus-minus with a +4 as they defeated Tampa Bay decisively Friday and Sunday. Offensively, the ‘03 from Vancouver, Wash., registered four assists over the weekend and now has 11 points in 18 games. 

 

Goaltender: Parker Dietz, Columbia Infantry

Dietz (‘02/Pittsburgh, Pa.) helped the Infantry come back from a tough Friday loss against Carolina to beat the Jr. Canes on Saturday, 3-2. Dietz stopped 44 of 46 for a season-best single-game save percentage of .957.  

 

Southeast Division

Forward: Avery Pittman, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes 

Pittman (‘02/St. Louis Park, Minn.) put up a four-goal game in a 7-4 road win over the Columbia Infantry, the most in more than four years for a Jr. Canes player. The second-year junior veteran who jumped from the NA3HL now has 13 points in 21 games. 

 

Defense: Chase Lemmers, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes 

Lemmers posted a goal and an assist, and a +2 during the Jr. Canes’ split weekend with the Infantry. He tied for the team lead in shifts at 46 in the two games, and now the second-year Premier ‘02 veteran from Woodcliff, Neb., has 10 points in 22 games. 

 

Goaltender: Jadon Lee, Richmond Generals

Lee (‘02/Fulton, N.Y.) earned a huge 42-save win against the Charlotte Rush in a split weekend series. The third-year USPHL veteran and first-year Premier goalie won his third game in a row in beating the Rush, 3-1. He is 11-2-0-0 with a .937 save percentage on the season.
