USPHL Premier Players Of The Week: North Region

Sept. 22-28

 

Mid-Atlantic Division 

Forward: Hunter Parker, Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights

Parker (‘02/Granite City, Ill.) returns to the Knights after a 47-point campaign in 2021-22 and is already off to an incredible pace for this season. Parker posted an impressive 4-8-12 line in three games this past weekend.

 

Defense: Aiden Moreau, Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights

The ’03 defenseman is back with Wilkes-Barre for another season and was credited with six assists over the weekend. Moreau (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) is already halfway to tying his point total from last season.

 

Goalie: Lucas Thurmond, Buffalo Stampede

Thurmond (’04/Deer Park, Ill.) had an impressive showing in his USPHL debut, stopping 34 of 35 against the Cincinnati Cyclones in Buffalo’s 2-1 road victory.

 

New England Division 

Forward: Filip Tjarnhell, Twin City Thunder 

Tjarnhell (‘02/Vollentuna, Sweden) scored the first goal of the Thunder’s 5-2 victory against the Bridgewater Bandits, and overall played so well in his first couple games that Head Coach Colt Steele picked him as the forward of the week from the Thunder over that first weekend. 

 

Defense: Cal Davies, Twin City Thunder

The defenseman, an ‘03 from Harpswell, Maine, led the Thunder in ice time throughout their opening weekend of two wins against Bridgewater, averaging 19:42 per game and registering a +2 rating. He is a second-year USPHL veteran. 

 

Goaltender: Ean Badgett, Islanders Hockey Club

The ‘04 from Howell, Maine, started his season with a 31-save shutout of the Boston Advantage on Sept. 28.
