Southeast Division

Forward: Matvei Naumov, Potomac Patriots

Naumov (‘04/Ufa, Russia) was a key player in the Potomac Patriots’ two shutout games against the Hershey Cubs, posting one goal and adding four assists across the two days in Pennsylvania. Ranking fourth with 23 points for the Patriots, Naumov has scored nine goals across 18 games this season. He has 33 goals and 34 assists for 69 points across 66 games played in his three season career with the Potomac Patriots.

 

Defense: Yaroslav Alifanov, Potomac Patriots

Alifanov (‘04/Chelyabinsk, Russia) registered two assists for two points in the two games he played with the Potomac Patriots this week. In his first season in the USPHL Premier, the right defenseman has posted four assists for four points. He’s played 22 games to date with the Patriots.

 

Goaltender: Kirill Guryev, Potomac Patriots

In his first season with the USPHL Premier, Potomac Patriots goaltender Guryev (‘06/Moscow, Russia) posted 48 saves on 48 shots across two games against the Hershey Cubs. He played the full 60 minutes in both games for his impressive shutout performance. Guryev is 10-3-0-0 with a .934 save percentage this season.

 

Florida Division

Forward: Jason Johnson, Tampa Bay Juniors

Johnson (‘06/Minnetonka, Minn.) posted two goals and three assists for five points this week with the Tampa Bay Juniors. The forward ranks fourth with the Juniors in his first season, with 10 goals and 7 assists across 14 games.

 

Defense: Mitchell Berens, Bold City Battalion

Berens (‘04, Plainfield, Ill.) garnered two goals and three assists with the Bold City Battalion. He had a hand in four out of five goals against the Florida Junior Blades on Nov. 15 and took the game-winning goal in a shutout against the Palm Beach Typhoon on Nov. 17. Berens has played 17 games in his rookie season in the USPHL Premier, with four goals and six assists.

 

Goaltender: Raymond Thompson, Bold City Battalion

Thompson (‘06, Orange Park, Fla.) returns for his second consecutive Player of the Week nomination for his 34-save shutout against the Palm Beach Typhoon on Nov. 17. The goaltender remains undefeated in regulation this season with the Bold City Battalion, 4-0-2-1, with a .942 save percentage.

Selection Process: Divisional statistical leaders are presented to coaches, who are able to vote on the leaders, or nominate and vote on alternate candidates.
