Southeast Division
Forward: Illya Biesiedin, Potomac Patriots
Biesiedin (‘05/Kharkiv, Ukraine) put up a 2-3-5 line as the Patriots went up against a strong Elmira team, and he currently has nine points already to kick off February. He has 52 points this season and 61 points in his 70-game Premier career.
Defense: Trevor Riggs, Potomac Patriots
Riggs (‘05/Grand Haven, Mich.) put up a 2-2-4 performance against Elmira in one Feb. 2 game and added an assist in the other for five points in two contests. Riggs joined this year from the Northeast Generals organization and brings prior NAHL and NA3HL experience. He has 17 points in 38 games.
Goaltender: Ryan Kalina, Carolina Jr Hurricanes
Kalina (‘05/Raleigh, N.C.) is on a five-game winning streak, the most recent of which came on Feb. 2 vs. Hampton Roads, against whom he stopped 30 of 32 shots. Kalina now has a record of 10-3-2-0 with a .931 save percentage. He was a regular with the Jr. Canes Elite team last year, showing a great example of USPHL Advancement In Action.
Florida Division
Forward: Jack Treacy, Florida Jr. Blades
Treacy (‘05/Stouffville, Ont.) put up a 2-4-6 line, including a five-point outing, against the Atlanta MadHatters to start February. Since joining in November from the Central Canada Hockey League, he has put up 22 points in 20 games for the Jr. Blades.
Defense: Emil Grinsvall, Bold City Battalion
After registering an assist during his time at the USPHL Premier All-Stars event in Foxboro, Mass., he got right back to business for the Battalion. The 2004-born native of Goteborg, Sweden, registered three goals and two assists for five points over a three-game series against the Florida Eels. He has improved to a career total of 75 points in 73 games.
Goaltender: Evan Stringer, Bold City Battalion
Stringer (‘05/Fort Collins, Colo.) won two games against the Florida Eels by stopping 65 of the 68 shots he faced during the three-game series. The third-year Premier veteran improved his season record to 12-7-1-0, already matching his previous season best for wins. He is 35-18-5-1 over three years with a .913 save percentage, with his 35 wins placing him in the top 20 all time.
