USPHL Premier Canada Division Players Of The Month: November 2024

Forwards

Theo Faucher, Montreal Black Vees

Faucher (’04/L’Assomption, Que.) earned his second consecutive Player of the Month honor as the leading points scorer for the Montreal Black Vees this season. Adding five goals and 11 assists to top the leaderboard for all-time points and assists for the Black Vees. He’s the leader in franchise all-time points per game at 1.46.

 

Tristan Reid, Somang L-L Hockey

Reid (‘04/Grand-Remous, Que.) played 12 games with Somang Hockey in November, registering nine goals and 10 assists to become the third-highest points scorer for the team this season. Reid is in his third Premier season and first with Somang. 

 

Lucas Choteau, Somang L-L Hockey

Choteau (‘06/Saguenay, Que.) is the second-most points scorer for Somang Hockey this season. In November he added to his growing points tally, scoring eight goals and registering 12 assists over 12 games played. He scored three game winning goals 

 

Forward Honorable Mention: Justin Deschenes, College Universel Gatineau

 

Defense

Samuel Cardinal, Universel Sherbrooke

Cardinal (‘06) is a major defenseman for Universel Sherbrooke. In November, he registered 11 points over 10 games, including five goals. Cardinal is in his second season with the Premier league with 30 career points over 66 games. 

 

Marko Petras, Universel Sherbrooke

Petras (‘06/Kezmarok, Slovakia) has been another impactful blueliner for Universel Sherbrooke in his rookie season, earning a second consecutive Player of the Month designation. He posted nine points, including three goals, in November. 

 

Defense Honorable Mention: Chris Skotidakis, Somang L-L Hockey

 

Goaltender

Alexis Viel, Somang L-L Hockey

Viel (‘06/L’Assomption, Que.) went 5-1-0-0 in November for Somang Hockey, kicking the month off with a shutout win against the Kingston Wranglers on Nov. 2. He had 174 saves on 190 shots over the month, notching a .915 save percentage. Viel is in his first season in the Premier, and is 7-3-0-0.

 

Goaltender Honorable Mention: William St-Denis, Montreal Black Vees

Selection Process: The division’s coaches are presented with a ballot form with statistical leaders (ranked by points per game average for skaters and save percentage for goaltenders) and vote on that form. The league takes the results of that vote and presents the finalists to the coaches, who are able to vote on further changes if desired.
